We know you have a choice on where your child will train.  Our athletes excel in their sports.

Athletes can not get faster without using proper mechanics.  Our staff teaches proper running mechanics.  Whether you're a football, soccer or lacrosse player or a track & field athlete you are cheating yourself if you do not run properly.  Here is a recent history of athletes with all different abilities and their success in sports.  It is the main reason why you should become a member of our academy.  The results speak for themselves, from the beginner athlete to the experienced athlete they all improve greatly once they learn how to properly train.  Quality over Quantity is how we train our athletes.  No matter what the sport is we train to a focused effort to achieve results.

Here are some of the many athletes we train.

1)  Megan Giovanniello - Megan is a 10 year old athlete.  Megan walked into our academy looking to become a competitive runner.  Having never run before, she posted a time of 14:47 in the 3000m two weeks into training with us.  Less than two months later Megan ran a P.R. of 12:28 and placed 17th in the country at Nationals. UPDATE; Megan opened up the 2011 spring track season with a win in the NY Relays Mile.  She has followed up with an impressive 5:12  in the NJ Relays mile at age 11!!!!

2)  Maddie Mastriano - Maddie is a 9 year old athlete that cam to the Academy as a lacrosse player.  She was looking to gain speed and endurance.  She was a past member at a rival speed school for a year.  On her 1 to 1 evaluation with our staff her form was rated as extremely poor.  Her posture was hunched over, she leaned forward when she ran and her arms would lock in a straight line when she tired.  After working with her for two weeks there was a huge improvement in her form and her speed and endurance started to increase at a rapid rate.  While still playing lacrosse she decided to try a few races with her newfound running form.  With two months training Maddie won the 1500m and 800m at the Long Island Track & Field Championships!!!  UPDATE: Maddie has continued to be one of the Top 10 year olds in the Northeast in the 1500 and the 3000 meters on the track this spring.

3)  Caroline Fiordalisi - Caroline is a 10 year old runner.  She has competed against our academy the past few years. Caroline recently qualified for the Junior Olympics in California for the 1500m.  Caroline's previous P.R. in the 1500 was 6:09.  On July 12th, 2010 she asked us to train her for her race at Nationals.  On August 1st, 2010, Caroline ran a P.R. of 5:56.  That's 13 seconds faster in only 3 weeks!!!!!! UPDATE; Caroline has continued improve since joining our club 10 months ago.  Her times have dropped steadily since she has started to train in our system after 2 years of zero improvement.  She made All-American last fall and PR's in the 3000m at the NJ Relays in 11:42.

4) Tyler Lobenhofer - Tyler is a 9th Grade athlete who will be attending Gelinas Junior HS in the fall.  Tyler was a football player who has decided that he wanted to try out for the HS Cross Country Team.  Tyler started with the Academy July 6th of this summer.  He ran his first 5k race as a starting point on July 14th so we would have a starting point to view his progress.  The 5k will be his race distance in HS.  In 3 weeks we have taken 1 minute 17 seconds off his 5k time.  We have a long way to go in his training but if we cut another minute or so off his time he has a shoot to from football player to HS Cross Country runner in one summer.  UPDATE; Tyler has completed his first season with the school team.  He is currently the Top 9th grader at his HS

5) Nick Bjelke - Nick has come to us from Dix Hills.  His goals this year are to consistantly break 6:00 in the mile.  We have adjusted his running form and he is training very hard at practice.  We will keep you updated once his school Cross Country team starts racing.  On August 25th, Nick finally broke 6 minutes in the mile, running a 5:54.  UPDATE; Nick has come a long way since joining us.  He is currently undefeated in spring track in the 1500m and the 800m.  He has caught the eye of the varsity coaches as he continues to PR each meet!!!!  His goal is to break 2:15 in the 800 and has crushed his mile times making his original goals seem a long time ago.

Long slow distance over the summer is a throwback to the 1980's.  The 5k is no longer a distance race, it is run with speed.  40 - 60 miles a week will not bring your 5k times down.  Come join us for a month and your time will drop and you wont burn out.
Most HS runners have to run hard for 15 - 20 minutes  That's all.  40-60 miles a week doesn't get you fast for 15-20 minutes.

Our training methods work on any type of athlete.  We build confidence, we set goals, we teach mechanics, we get RESULTS!!!!

Other companies will tell you they will get you fast.  We just do it.  If you want speed at any sport call us at 631-862-5708
